EXPENSES & BUDGET

EXPENSES AND BUDGET

The budget depends on the mode of humane education delivery - in person vs virtual.

  • For virtual sessions, our costs include: Purchase of curated books with empathy theme, time spent converting our books into e-books using Canva, Canva Pro subscription, use Synthesia to turn e-books into narrated e-books, Synthesia subscription, access of e-books via Zoom (interactive) or Youtube, Zoom subscription.

  • For in-person delivery, we spend on curate books with empathy theme, art supplies for supplementary activities, printing costs for coloring books and certificates of participation.

  • Past experience - we spent $700 on books and activities to serve 130 underserved children during Kids Camp sponsored by City of Davis in 2023. We recently spent $400 for our Kitty Kindness Camp which is much smaller but we provide more activities per session and we were able to create a graduation kit when the participants receive a complementary book which would not have been possible with a larger group.

  • Operational costs : Canva Pro, Synthesia and Zoom = $500/year

  • Partially fund our humane education through our Wear Your “KIND” store to be opened in August 2025

2021 Eventbrite (virtual) - 5

2021 Mind Institute Summer Camp (virtual) - 25

2023 Davis Kids Kamp (in-person) - 130

2025 Kitty Kindness Camp (in-person) - 7
